China and India are gearing up for the 25th edition of the Special Representatives’ Talks on the Boundary Question, as announced by the Chinese Foreign Ministry. During a routine press conference on Tuesday, spokesperson Guo Jiakun highlighted that both nations are in ongoing communication regarding border issues, with efforts underway to implement the agreements from their last meeting.
Currently, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is visiting New Delhi to participate in the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. During this visit, Wang engaged in discussions with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Monday.
Guo emphasized that the overall situation along the China-India border remains stable. He pointed out that the communication channels between the two countries are functioning effectively, ensuring that both sides stay aligned on border management. The countries are actively working to carry out the consensus reached during the 24th round of boundary discussions.
The upcoming talks are anticipated to focus on further managing the border issues and maintaining peace and stability along the frontier. Both China and India seem committed to continuing their dialogue to address the boundary question constructively.
